Who we are
With a focus on school readiness and a fun and exciting transition into Kindergarten, the Macarthur Adventist College Prep program is a warm, friendly and nurturing environment for our littlest learners.
Open to children turning 4 by the 31st of May, the Prep program is designed to entice students to explore and discover while introducing pre-literacy, phonics, and pre-numeracy skills, in a vibrant and play-oriented environment, providing children with the best possible start to their learning journey.
Our Prep facility is bright, welcoming and secure, allowing for investigation and inquiry while facilitating both structured group time and free play, indoors and outdoors. An added benefit is that Prep students can take part in College-wide events such as weekly Chapel, library visits and assemblies, leading to a familiar and comfortable transition to Kindergarten.
An emphasis on strong partnerships between home and school means that Prep teachers are in regular contact with families to celebrate achievements and milestones, and to provide insight and assistance as students approach the beginning of formal schooling.
At Macarthur, we believe the early years are a wonderful time to lay a strong foundation for learning, and our goal is for each Prep student to enter Kindergarten confident and ready for what lies ahead.
