Learning Program

Learning with a growth mindset

At Macarthur Adventist College, we are committed to providing a Christ-centred education that nurtures the whole child; their academic, social, emotional and spiritual development. Through a caring and supportive learning environment, we inspire students to grow in confidence, character and curiosity, preparing them for their own unique future.

Macarthur Adventist College provides well-resourced learning environments across our Primary and Secondary campuses, including modern classrooms, a Library, Computer Labs, a multi-purpose Hall and a range of purpose-built learning spaces. Together, these facilities support students to explore their interests, develop their strengths and achieve their personal best.

Learning extends beyond the classroom through a vibrant co-curricular program that includes Band, Choir, Drama, individual Music tuition, outdoor education, leadership opportunities, sport and community service. These experiences encourage students to discover their unique gifts, build confidence and develop the skills they need for life beyond school.

To learn more about our learning programs or arrange a visit, we invite you to contact our team or book a College tour.

Additional learning support is available for students with identified learning needs and those developing their English language skills.

Where appropriate, teachers work closely with parents, specialists and support staff to develop an Individual Learning Plan (ILP), ensuring students receive personalised strategies and adjustments that enable them to access learning, build confidence and achieve their full potential.

We recognise that every student learns differently. That's why our teachers take the time to know each learner and use a variety of teaching approaches to engage, challenge and support students throughout their educational journey.

Learning experiences may include hands-on activities, collaborative projects, creative expression, technology, excursions, discussions, experiments and independent learning, ensuring every student has the opportunity to build confidence, develop their strengths and achieve their personal best.
