About

Chaplaincy and Pastoral Care

Caring for and supporting our students

Our teachers and stage leaders play a vital role in the pastoral care of our students, building positive relationships and providing support through everyday interactions. We are committed to fostering a safe, respectful and inclusive learning environment. Through proactive wellbeing programs, anti-bullying initiatives and restorative practices, we work alongside students and families to build positive relationships, address concerns and resolve conflict with care, openness and respect.

Our Chaplains provide care and support to students, staff and families, regardless of their faith background. They play an important role in fostering wellbeing and connection across our school community through:

  • Coordinating programs that support social, emotional and spiritual wellbeing
  • Building positive relationships with students and providing a friendly listening ear
  • Engaging with students in the playground and around the school
  • Mentoring students with behavioural or emotional needs
  • Strengthening connections with the broader community
  • Providing opportunities for spiritual reflection and growth
  • Supporting individuals, families and the school community during times of loss, crisis or trauma

For students requiring more specialised support, our School Counsellors are available to assist with specific social and emotional needs and, where appropriate, facilitate referrals to external services.

We value the partnership between home and school and recognise that students thrive when families and educators work together. By maintaining shared expectations and open communication, we help young people develop into confident, resilient and well-rounded individuals, prepared for a bright future.
