Scholorships

Scholarship standards

Students must be of exceptional ability. Only students who fit the criteria for the scholarships will receive a scholarship and must maintain their high standards during the period of the scholarship. Although scholarships are designated for each year level, this may vary according to the students applying for scholarships.

Candidates for the music scholarships must already receive training in their chosen instrument or demonstrate exceptional ability in vocals.

Those students applying for scholarships to Macarthur Adventist School should be able to demonstrate that they will uphold the ethos of the school and be prepared to market the school through their work and appearance at school events. For further information please contact the school and speak to the principal.

Applying for a scholarship

Application is made to the school using the scholarship application form along and paying an administrative fee. The applicant will supply written documentation to support their application. This application is then submitted to the School Council for scrutiny. The application may then be referred back if there is insufficient evidence.

The closing date for applications is the end of Term 3 of the year prior to the scholarship. Successful applicants will be informed via a letter from School Council before the end of Term 4. This procedure may be adjusted at the School Council's discretion if an applicant enrols in the school during the course of the year.
